Many extended health plans cover dietitian services, though coverage varies by provider and plan. We recommend checking with your insurer to confirm your benefits.


Do you provide insurance receipts?

As Registered Dietitians, our College of Dietitians of Alberta registration number is printed on every receipt. While we do not direct bill, 2 types of receipts are available upon payment for reimbursement:

  • Master Package Receipt: Automatically sent once full payment is received, showing your complete package. We recommend submitting this first — it works for both Health Spending Account and Extended Health plans. Individual Proof-of-Attendance receipts follow on a per-session basis.

  • Proof-of-Attendance Receipts: Available upon request, individual session receipts including our RD licence # validating that you showed up for each nutrition session in your pre-paid package are available after each appointment upon request.

To be very clear: Receipts are issued as-is — dates and fees cannot be modified. If you have benefits expiring soon, we recommend to purchase a package, submit the master receipt right away, and book ahead. We also offer shorter appointment formats to help you fit in sessions before your coverage resets.


Pro Tip:

To help budget, look up Registered Dietitian coverage under paramedical services in your insurance portal and check your plan's Reasonable and Customary Fee (RCF) — this is the maximum amount your insurer will reimburse per session. Dietitian services also qualify as a tax-deductible medical expense.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Appointments are usually available within a few days to a couple of weeks. We’re open Tuesday to Friday, with select Saturdays (which fill up quickly).

    You can book online anytime. If you don’t see a time that works, text us at 403-719-5858 — not all openings are shown online, and we’ll help you find a time that fits.

  • Many extended health plans cover Registered Dietitian services. All sessions are provided by Registered Dietitians and qualify for reimbursement—check your plan to confirm coverage.

    Insurance receipts are available upon request. For packages, payment is made upfront, and split receipts are issued after each session (e.g. $500 Foundations = $180 + $160 + $160).

    Receipts can be submitted to your provider for reimbursement.

  • For Metabolic Testing - an overnight fast with no caffeine /exercise the morning of. 

    For InBody Scan - limit food or caffeine 2-4 hours prior️, limit alcohol 24 hours prior, and limit exercise on the day-of (not suitable if you have a pacemaker). 

  • Yes. Eating before your test affects metabolic rate and can skew results by 10-20%. Fasting ensures we're measuring your true resting metabolism, not affected by digestion or exercise.

  • As per our Cancellation Policy, please cancel 48 hours before your appointment.

  • It depends on the type of session.

    • Baseline testing is 1 hr where the testing portion is about 20-25 min, with the remaining for interpretation.

    • Nutrition assessment is 1 hr (online or in person) which happens about 1-2 weeks ideally after the baseline testing session.

    • Follow-ups happen in about a month. If you’re doing quick retests it typically takes 10 min, whereas full follow ups are 30 min.

    • Exercise assessment & personal training sessions are 1 hr.

  • Absolutely! Use this link to book the first person, and we will manually add the second person once you’ve booked. Your session length will be extended from 1hr to 1.5hr.

    For nutrition assessments, you’re welcome to sit in on each other’s session but we’ll focus on one person at a time for the best results.

  • Payment is due on the day of your (first) session.

  • Yes!

  • Dietitian: always regulated, protected title, healthcare professional.

    Nutritionist: can mean the same thing only in certain provinces (like Alberta, Quebec, Nova Scotia), but elsewhere it’s unregulated and can be misleading.

  • Not at this time, however we can support by providing meal planning skills support, along with recipes / calorie structure templates!

  • Every body is different, and many factors will influence when you receive results. We’re here to guide you with data and personalized strategies built over 10+ years of dietitian training and experience, but what you put into it (literally and figuratively), you get out of it. 

    But as a general rule of thumb, you can aim for ~1 lb fat loss per week, and about 1 lb muscle gain per month. Now this may not translate to exact numbers on the scale, actually it’s usually about half that if you’re going through body recomposition. And this is if you’re pretty focused, and most ppl need at 6-8 week start-up period before habits really stick.
