  • Yes! Virtual follow-ups allow you to track your progress from the comfort of your own home. While current technology doesn’t allow us to provide you a body composition test virtually, you’re more than welcome to get it in person.

  • Most clients benefit from follow-ups every 4-6 weeks.

  • Don't avoid it and come in! That's exactly why follow-ups exist.

    We'll review what happened, adjust your approach, and get you back on track without judgment.

  • If it’s close to a year since your last session, we recommend retaking the baseline testing through the Foundations package to get your numbers again, or retake a longer nutrition reassessment.

  • While we understand that life happens, it is your responsibility to note your package's expiry date. If you anticipate any challenges before your package expires, please get in touch with us directly via text at 403-719-5858 to discuss options like potential extensions.

  • Body Composition (BIA): Not recommended during pregnancy. Hormonal changes and overall body shifts affect accuracy, so professional guidelines advise skipping BIA testing until postpartum.

    Resting Metabolic Rate Testing (Indirect Calorimetry): Safe during pregnancy and can actually be helpful! Your resting metabolic rate increases as pregnancy progresses, so testing helps personalize your nutrition plan. Keep in mind your needs will shift across trimesters, so retesting may be useful.


    For injuries or other changes: Reach out to your dietitian. Minor changes may not require new baseline testing, but significant shifts in activity level, medications, or health conditions might benefit from retesting to ensure your plan stays aligned with your body's current needs.

  • If you want to sit down, review your results in detail, and troubleshoot challenges with your diet, training, or habits, the Full Follow-Up with InBody Scan ($190) is the better choice.

    If you’re mainly interested in updating your numbers and tracking progress without an in-depth discussion, the Quick InBody Scan & Check-In ($110) is designed as a more cost-effective option for those who just want the data.

  • Absolutely. Start with individual sessions and upgrade to packages within 1 month of your last session for better value. 

  • You don’t need to bring anything to your follow-up. If you’d like us to review lab work, reports, or specific questions, please email them to your dietitian at least 48 hours in advance so we have time to prepare. Otherwise, just come with any questions or updates you’d like to cover.

  • No, just limit food 4-6 hours. (You can still drink caffeine.) Full overnight fasting is only needed for metabolic tests.

  • Absolutely! Use this link to book the first person, and we will manually add the second person once you’ve booked. Your session length will be extended from 1hr to 1.5hr.

    For nutrition assessments, you’re welcome to sit in on each other’s session but we’ll focus on one person at a time for the best results.

  • Body weight change: Around 10% or more (up or down) can make your previous metabolic data less accurate.

    Body fat change: 5% or more shift in body fat is another common marker for when a retest is worthwhile.

    Other cases: Major life events like injury, pregnancy, or significant changes in training volume also justify a re-test.

Use your insurance benefits

Many extended health plans cover Registered Dietitian services. All sessions are provided by Registered Dietitians and are eligible for reimbursement. Check with your plan to confirm coverage.


Do you provide insurance receipts?

Insurance receipts are available upon request. For packages, full payment is made upfront, and individual split receipts are issued after each session. Receipts can then be submitted to your provider for reimbursement.


Do you direct bill?

Direct billing is available for Blue Cross, Canada Life, Desjardins, and Equitable Life. A 5% admin fee applies to packages to cover multiple claim processing, while per-session billing has no fee as sessions are billed at the full undiscounted rate. Read our Booking Policy for full details.

Pro Tip:
Check your dietitian coverage under paramedical services in your insurance online portal. Before your first session, review your plan details to make the most of your benefits:

  • Check your plan’s Reasonable & Customary Fee (RCF) — the maximum reimbursed per session. This helps us split package receipts for full coverage.

  • If your benefits reset soon, consider booking sessions or touch-bases before renewal to use your coverage fully.

  • Dietitian services may also qualify as a tax-deductible medical expense.
