REGISTERED DIETITIAN NUTRITIONISTS IN CALGARY
There is no shortage of nutrition information. What you need is a personalized plan that works for you.
The problem isn't access to information. The harder part is knowing which numbers actually matter for your body, and what to do with them.
The Eatuitive Story: Data-Driven Intuition
The nutrition industry often pushes two extremes: rigid, complex tracking of every micronutrient, or "intuitive eating" that feels like total guesswork. We established this practice to offer a third way. The name Eatuitive represents our core belief: that true intuition with your body isn’t a guess—it’s a skill built on a foundation of data.
Most people have lost the ability to simply eat and trust their bodies because they’ve been overwhelmed by "food noise," high-stress lifestyles, and over-complicated clinical advice. We believe you don't find health by over-analyzing every tiny nutritional constituent; you find it by eating your way back into nutrition through real food and consistent habits.
Bridging the Gap
Our practice was built to bridge the gap between data-driven science and real-world intuition. We use metabolic testing and objective data not to make your life more complex, but to provide the clarity you need to simplify it. Data is the compass that removes the "maybe," giving you permission to stop overthinking and start trusting the "boring basics" again.
We don’t focus on the technical details just to sound clinical; we focus on the power of real food that actually moves the needle. Performance, recovery, and longevity aren't found in a supplement bottle or a fad—they are found in the daily habits of how you eat, move, and recover.
In the Driver’s Seat
Our goal is to put you back in the driver's seat. By using precision testing as our baseline, we help you master the fundamentals so that, eventually, leading a healthy life becomes second nature. We provide the data so you can gain the intuition to lead your health with intention.

Practice Lead — Dietitian & Testing Specialist
BSc. Nutrition and Food Science, University of Alberta
MBA. Healthcare Administration, Texas A&M University (2027 expected)
I earned my degree in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Alberta. My path wasn’t a straight line to the clinic; while building Eatuitive, I led sales teams and spent years traveling across Western Canada. I know exactly what it’s like to live out of a suitcase, navigating high-pressure leadership demands while my own health took a backseat.
That was my wake-up call. I realized that clinical knowledge only matters if it works when you’re busy, tired, and on the road. I had to learn to "walk the talk" by starting small—moving from 30-minute walks to eventually finding my stride in climbing and cycling. This shift transformed my energy and mindset, proving that the most effective health strategies are the ones that fit a real, demanding life.
We built Eatuitive to bridge the gap between textbook theory and real-world results. My approach is built on precision. Food is just one tool; we also focus on how you move, recover, and perform. By using testing as our baseline, my goal is to put you back in the driver’s seat of your own health with a clear, data-driven framework.
Specialties:
Metabolic Testing & Objective Data: I specialize in removing the "maybe" from nutrition. By utilizing metabolic testing and body composition analysis, we establish an objective baseline. This allows us to stop guessing and start making intentional, effective adjustments that lead to measurable results.
High Performance & "The Boring Basics": I help "corporate athletes" and high-performers master the fundamental pillars—protein, fibre, hydration, sleep, and recovery. I’ve found that mastering these "boring basics" is the most powerful way to maintain functional capacity, manage a high-stress career, and support long-term longevity.
Let me help you lead your health with intention.
Evelyn Cheng Best, RD
Exercise Physiologist
BSc. Kinesiology, University of Calgary.
Master of Science in Physical Therapy, Queen's University
I was born and raised in Calgary, but my journey has taken me across Canada, living in cities like Vancouver, Toronto, and Kingston. Growing up, sports were a huge part of my life—especially basketball. Like many athletes, I also experienced the frustration of injuries firsthand, undergoing surgeries including an ACL reconstruction and shoulder stabilization surgery. Those experiences shaped not only my understanding of recovery, but also my passion for helping others move and function at their best.
My philosophy is centered around longevity, injury prevention, and helping people build resilient bodies that support them for the long term. Whether someone is returning from injury, training for a running goal, or simply looking to move and feel better, I believe the foundation lies in understanding how the body functions as a whole. By combining objective testing, biomechanics, and individualized movement strategies, my goal is to help people continue doing the activities they love with confidence for years to come.
Specialties:
VO2 Max & Metabolic Testing: My current focus is working with runners and active individuals through VO2 max and metabolic testing, movement assessment, and biomechanical analysis. I enjoy using objective data alongside clinical assessment to better understand how the body is functioning and to help individuals move more efficiently while reducing unnecessary strain on the body during activity and daily life.
Movement Quality & Long-Term Function: Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I enjoy identifying the underlying barriers that may be limiting movement efficiency or contributing to recurring issues—whether that involves mobility restrictions, breathing mechanics, movement coordination, or strength deficits.
Let me help you move and function.
